Maybe thats the way the stupid thing works but if someone knows please let me know.I think i have a couple different problems occurring which may or may not be related. My environment and setup: One 2012 AD DomainDNS server and one 2019 RDWeb server behind a Sonicwall Firewall.
TCP ports forwarded to the RDWeb server are 3389,389,443,5989,445,5504. Your Computer Cannot Connect To The Remote Desktop Gateway Server License Server AreAll roles (RD Web Access, RD Gateway, RD Connection broker, RD Virt Host and RD Session Host) except the license server are installed on the 2019 box. Read somewhere that this setup for licensing may not work unless its at least 2016 but that was after i had already configured it) I havent installed the licenses at this time. I have a public CNAME record publicserver.publicdomainname.com pointing to the public IP of the site. I have created the public DNS zone on the Domain controller and an A record for the RDWeb server with the local IP address. All services appear to be working on the RDWeb server with no errors. The certificate has been applied in RD Gateway Manager and bound in IIS under the default site bindings. There are only the wildcard and the publicserver.publicdomain.com name binds for port 443. Under IIS RDWeb and Pages the DefaultTSGateway has been set to the public FQDN. I did notice that there are two other listings radcmserver and workspaceid which refer to the local server name and im not sure if that is correct or not. The first prompt is related to trusting the publisher of the app and the second prompt is related to AD credentials which i didnt think i should be receiving. When you go to click on the app (calculator) it downloads to the browser, you click to open it and i get an authentication prompt for AD credentials and then the message RemoteApp Disconnected - Your computer cant connect to the remote computer because the Remote Desktop Gateway server is temporarily unavailable and thats as far as you get. All of the errors have gone away but im still getting an extra authentication prompt when i go to launch the application that is published. Your Computer Cannot Connect To The Remote Desktop Gateway Server How To Get RidCan anyone tell me how to get rid of the extra domain authentication credentials prompt when clicking on the published application. Ive already supplied my domain credentials at the RD Web splash page and would think that it wouldnt be necessary again. Router. If it does work, then your problem could be with RD Web, etc. I do know that it has to be done correctly, or the two services, which use the same listening port, will conflict.
